BBC Easter broadcast The Passion
‘The Passion’ is a dramatic BBC series retelling the death and resurrection of Christ. It’s scheduled to go out at peak time, in 6 half hour slots between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday (16th - 23rd March 08).
Filmed in Morocco and starring actors such as Joseph Mawle, James Nesbitt (Cold Feet) and David Oyelow (Spooks and The Last King of Scotland), the production is ‘an extremely vivid piece of drama’. Andrew Graystone, Director of the Churches’ Media Council, goes on to say that ‘this Easter the whole country will be talking about Jesus. Not about church politics or the finer points of theology, but about Jesus.'
