Christian Aid is working in partnership with Rockhill Music to present an artist for the second CD in its Acoustic Gospel series, which is due for release in November 2008.
Rockhill Music, an independent record label is producing a contemporary Gospel album, ‘Acoustic Gospel Volume II’ , and the search for talented gospel artists has begun! , and the search for talented gospel artists has begun!
Starting this month, Christian Aid will embark on a nationwide Youth Gospel Talent Search, titled Harmonise. Auditions will run in Manchester, Bristol, London and Birmingham with the grand final in London on 17 May – as part of Christian Aid Week.
Auditions Dates:
Manchester – Saturday, 19 April
Bristol – Saturday, 26 April
London – Saturday, 3 May
Birmingham – Saturday, 10 May
Grand Final – London – Saturday, 17 May
Winners Package:

Rockhill Music, the company behind the album is working with Christian Aid on this project and has been involved in a number of activities within the music industry. From music production and publishing to artiste development and music ministry. They are also involved in a music school project and see this initiative with Christian Aid as an exciting opportunity for talented young people to be given a chance to showcase their abilities and express their music ministry– and also contribute to Christian Aid’s vital work.
As with the first Acoustic Gospel release in 2006, sales of the CD will help raise funds for children’s charities, with proceeds from sales of this album going to a children’s project, Humanité Nouvelle.
Each year 10 million children will die before their fifth birthday and 100 million children will not have the opportunity to go to school. Christian Aid alongside its global partners is working hard to make life better for children and families. Humanité Nouvelle (which translates as New Humanity) is one such partner working with street children in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, providing a place of refuge and offering advice, training, basic medical care and food.
