LightFM   EXTRA LIGHT COMES TO PRESTATYN

The towns of Prestatyn, Rhyl and the surrounding areas are scheduled to receive extra summertime light between June 9 and 15 when radio station Light FM will be broadcasting 24 hours a day on 87.7 FM and via the internet at www.lightfm.net. Live programmes will begin at 7:00 am and go through until midnight when a mixture of music and pre-recorded programmes will take over.

Light FM is a Christian station whose daily schedule will include Gospel and Contemporary Christian music, radio drama, children’s programmes, dedications and requests, plus real-life stories of ordinary men and women whose lives have been transformed.

Speaking of the broadcast, Station Director, Mike Johnson said; “Our name is an expression of our purpose. We recognise that there are people in our towns and cities who are going through situations which to them represent dark days; we want to bring some light to them; to show them an alternative and a better way. Jesus said He’s “the light of the world” and that’s the light we will be presenting. It also indicates our approach in that our programmes are fair and balanced and presented in a way that is easy on the ear.”

He goes on to say; “We want to serve the local community as well. If your organisation is promoting an event for the benefit of the community, we’d like to hear about it so we can announce it on air. Please email us at radio@lightfm.net with the details.”

There are a number of ways in which you can “step into the light”. You can tune to 87.7 FM or you can log on and listen at www.lightfm.net. The station can be contacted by telephoning 07757 816 316, by texting the word “LIGHT” followed by your message to 81025, or you can email; radio@lightfm.net
