Beautiful Mama

Gospel reggae and secular reggae music fans everywhere are currently enjoying the brand new EP from reggae Artist Annette B. Those in the know will tell you that Annette whilst a relatively new name in the Gospel scene has a long established history in music. In fact she is known for her awesome bubbling lovers rock melodies and made her first recordings at the tender age of 15 alongside Philip Gadd of New Talent Records. This was followed by a series of signings to labels such as UK Bubblers a subsidiary of the legendary Greensleeves label.

Highlights of her secular career included her album 'Suggestive Movements' and popular single 'Fairy Godmother' as well as an appearance of the BBC's Children In Need. In fact Annette won the Black Music Awards best female reggae singer three years consecutively. This was followed by an opportunity to record in the USA with the late great reggae master Sir Coxsone Dodd on the equally famous Studio 1 label however prior to release Annette made a decision to walk away from music.

Even after considerable success Annette felt something was missing and that she had an inner void. It was around this time she turned to Jesus and made a decision to become a Christian. Life as a Christian has bought about a sense of peace and has filled the emptiness. The good news is that Annette has returned to singing but this time for Christ, dedicating love songs to GOD, Annette is on a mission to deliver his words and sow seeds.

Launched in July this year her new EP 'Beautiful Mama' features tracks from her forthcoming album ' Gods Got My Soul'. Tracks from the EP are enjoying heavy rotation on the community stations in Birmingham including 'Sting FM' and New Style Radio' as well as featuring on numerous Gospel shows (including Soulcure - Proclaima).

Beautiful Mama

Track 1 is the title track called 'Beautiful Mama'. Dedicated as a song to Mama this one rides the same Riddim as Spanna's 'Mummys Prayer' ... almost like a part 2. This version is hot and leaves the listener drooling for the album.

Track 2 'Truly Amazing' features the DJ talents of Spanna and is an up tempo worship song that will rock any situation.

Track 3 is Annettes' own version of the classic hymn 'Amazing Grace' . Sung on a smooth classic riddim the vocal style is classic Lovers Rock and is just niceness!

Track 4 – Is sung by the choir that Annette heads up. The style is worship and the content is basically about Annettes' testimony.

Track 5 - For those interested in blessing none Christian friends this will make and ideal gift not least because of the final track which is simple presentation of the Gospel made by minister Monica Anderson.
