No Limits

Ever been in a car that’s approaching a speed camera? Or, a police vehicle pulls out behind you? The driver is suddenly aware of speed limits! If you’re like me the action you take is to squeeze the brakes and slow down!

Let’s look at some ‘Ifs’.

If you can afford to fill up on petrol there is only so far you can go on a tank. If you’ve ever been snorkelling you can only stay underwater for so long (three minutes for the average person – unless like me you swallow ¼ of the Indian Ocean in the experience!) If you fell out of a plane there’s only so far you can drop before you open your parachute! If you’re in the Olympics there is still a limit to how far you jump or throw something!

I’ve heard people young and old say things like this. “My options are limited!” “I am under limitations.” “There are limits to how far I can go.”

A study of fleas in a jar showed that with the lid on they bang their heads when they jump so they learn to jump a little lower, when the lid is removed they never jump out to their freedom cause they have been conditioned!

As my friend Witness would say “Are you ready now?”

There are loads of examples in the Bible where the devil tried to ‘LIMIT’ the potential of God’s people.
Joseph has a dream – his brothers try to kill it!
Esther is given a royal position – Haman tries to wipe out her whole people.
David rises as an anointed young leader – the leader who could have mentored him gets jealous and insecure of him instead!
God wants a nation for himself and Pharoah tries to kill all the babies!

Lets get something straight.

God is doing a new thing (Isaiah 43:19)

There is NO LIMIT to which a godly man or woman cannot go!
John the Baptist even tells us that the one God sends and speaks and does the things of God on them there is the SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT! This is not just talking about what Jesus was about to do and be – Jesus is God and so He is dishing it out to us right now! After all he did say we would do even greater things!

Break off your LIMITS!

A generation is being raised up who won’t be limited; who will break any limitation set on them.
Not got much education? So. God gives the Spirit without limit.
Your Dad not around? So. God gives the Spirit without limit.
Brought up in a certain part of town. So. God gives the Spirit without limit.
Feel you look plain. So. God gives the Spirit without limit.
Been told to sit down and be quiet.
Started out with nothing.
Experienced rejection.
Felt a failure.
So. God gives the Spirit without limit.

RISE UP GENERATION AND BREAK OFF YOUR LIMITS.

Take a good look at this

In Acts 14: 8-10 Paul is hanging out in one of the Roman colonies called Lystra. There is a man there who can’t walk, who has never been able to walk. Paul looks at him eye to eye see’s the potential in him and say STAND UP ON YOUR OWN TWO FEET! The man jumps up and walks!

You may have a crippling past, but it’s time to do what you have never done before. Whatever has stopped you in the past doesn’t have to stop you in the future. Paul saw the lame man was ready. I can SENSE YOU ARE READY!. The key is already in your Christian faith! Stand on it and WALK INTO YOUR DESTINY.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. But set the example.”
1 Timothy 4:12

I’m not going to be put down because of anything or anybody. It’s my time to fight to break off my limits and then the limits in others; my time to live, and really live.

NO LIMITS. Say it with me…

A bit louder… NO LIMITS!
