Ryan Carty – Journey to Purpose
 |
|
On his debut album Ryan Carty’s asking “what has happened to our sense of gratitude?”
After listening to this eleven track compilation I can certainly say that two years of hard work and commitment in creating this album has been worth it!
New onto the scene this twenty-two year old singer was recently compared to the likes of D Angelo and Musiq Soul Child on BBC WM’s Gospel Show by Nikki Tapper. No doubt she did this with good reason, because Ryan Carty has a soulful voice that like some of the big familiar names of soul and R&B his sound has a smooth and distinctive quality.
Ryan’s range of powerful vocal notes from a delectable low to a beautiful high pitched can be heard on tracks like ‘Words Cannot Explain’ and ‘Unconditional Love’ and as with every track he tells a story that he wants to share with us. The R&B showcased on this album is current but there’s definitely an appreciation for the old skool. He also features some Rap which includes the talented Jahaziel who’s doing what he does best; providing some very skilful lyrics.
Ryan Carty’s first Gospel album is well written and well produced, a brilliant way to begin his music career on his Journey to Purpose.
