If worth were a colour, what colour would it be?

What does it mean to be or feel worthy? If worth were a colour, what colour would it be? Can worth be purchased in a store, can it be explained by a price tag or is it available to download online? I may have only been a Christian a short time compared to some others, and I know I still have a lot to learn.

However, during the course of my short journey of working out my own salvation with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12), I have learnt that self-worth can and does only come from the One Who Himself is worthy. Though I am still trying to get it engraved on the inside of myself, and on the inside of other believers, I know that in and of ourselves, we are worthless, but we are made worthy BECAUSE He is worthy; we are made holy BECAUSE He is holy. Whether we feel worthy or holy is not the question, and never really has been. By God’s own description, we are made in His image (Gen 1:27); what better image is there to be made in? If we are made in His image, we can take glory in His image. If we have been given the privilege to glory in His image, in the unblemished image of the only wise God, then why waste time questioning the Giver or battling with the enemy, when we could be sharing the gift?
It’s a selfish thing to take the focus off God or the sharing of His Kingdom and place it on ourselves or our feelings of self-worth; people are dying whilst we are calling God a liar. Yes, we can talk about it and we can cry about it and we can seek counsel about it, but will any of these things make us feel more worthy? Are we not worthy just because He says so? Either we, as so called believers, take God and His word for what it is and for what it says or we don’t. Either we are committed to accepting His truth as the be all and end all of our lives, or we’re not. Why we try to understand so many principles and question or reason so many things is beyond me, and I speak to myself first. The Word of God is simple and true; in Him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28) I know that can’t be downloaded or plugged through no ipod! What more can we do to be worthy? Either way, God will always remain the same. He is eternal, His love is eternal, therefore our worth, in Him, is eternal.
If worth were a colour, what colour would it be?
The colour of the blood that was sacrificed on His cross, our cross, just because we were worthy; the colour of the same blood that keeps and sustains us and reminds us that we were worthy. We are REDeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
